Embroidery Digitizing
Embroidery is much more than operating a machine. The most important part of the embroidery process is digitizing or design creation.
Most digitizing software has an “autodigitize” function. Using this function is almost ALWAYS the wrong thing to do.
Proper digitizing is a very manual process. Important things to consider are stitch direction, pull compensation, correct underlay, stitch types, minimizing trims, and more. These values can all change by the size of the design, the type of material being embroidered, and even the type of garment being embroidered. For example, digitizing a design for caps is very different than digitizing for shirts.
We digitize our own designs and do contract digitizing for $5 per thousand stitches.
